so sorry i haven't updated my blog on over a week girls. not much to report on any front i am afraid.
i have been battling a chest infection and horrendous sore throat all week and even though i have commented on lots of blogs i didn't think the world needed to hear of my health woes.
started off monday with feeling drained, then tuesday the aches and pains set in and the sore throat.
spent most of wednesday in bed but managed to drag myself off to the hairdressers
(bad idea - took poor cherina ages to cut my hair as she kept having to stop while i coughed and i ended up getting it cut much shorter than i would have normally done and now i hate it).
then i dragged myself into work thursday and only got half of what i needed done.
i am feeling much better today - not so achey and my nose has decided that it will stop running non-stop.
might even manage some scrapping today.
i have only managed to scrap a little bit this week and am less than impressed with what i have done.
i feel like i have hit a wall with my scrapping again...not happy with anything i have done lately and have been adding to my stash in the vain hope that i will be inspired to create something i like.
end result - more stash/mess, less money and zero creativity !!!
thanks to all of you who commented or emailed me about my figurine.
i still think she is a beauty despite the fact that i sat her on the floor near a window to help her dry and tilly - one of our manic dogs - thought it was actually a little person in the house and tried to attack her...!!!
the technique is called paverpol (do yourself a favour and check out the images on this site - AMAZING...!!!) and was so messy (it's like plaster to work with but dries like pva glue on your hands) and so much fun to create.
it was so nice to have a break from scrapping and being a mum and wife and to spend time with a creative, funny, talented group of ladies. lots of laughs, lots of inspirational support as we helped each other out and the food we all gathered for dinner was just delish.
the day was held at kait's teacher's house.
di and i have become great friends and kait came along with me for the day to play with ally, di's niece. the girls actually go to school together.
ally's mum is di's sister and the family are living at di's while they get their new house built.
the girls swam and played xbox and giggled all day.
our group of ladies has decided to get together again and have another class.
it really is so much fun and surprisingly easy to do.
and poor jo is STILL on deck.
what they thought was labour was just really strong braxton hicks contractions.
she has dropped quite a bit in the past week and at her check-up on friday the doctor said that the baby's head is engaged and he is ready to be born.
jo is grumpy, umcomfortable and so ready to have this little fellow.
i promise i will let you all know when he is born.
if he hangs on much longer he might just make auntie shazzie's birthday in march.
i hope you all enjoy your sunday.
if i am happy with my los i create today (if i do get time to create) i will share them with you tonight.
have a great day
