have had trouble accessing my comments, half my side bar is missing, i couldn't get the link button to work or upload any pics last night and none of my links in my side bar worked...!!!
so whatever is going on with you, get it fixed quick.
not much to report.
mark has his appointment in brisbane this afternoon with the skin cancer specialist. fingers crossed, prayers said, goat sacrificed....whatever it takes to get some good news.
am having my hair coloured and tizzied up today in preperation for the wedding we are going to next weekend. always love that few hours of pampering and cherina, my hairdresser and i always have a good old chin wag and catch up.
dad and erica arrive on tuesday to look after the kids next weekend. this will be the first easter we have ever spent away from our kids - kait has cried buckets of tears already cause she doesn't want us to be away at this wedding (all i can say nath and bec is that you guys must be special for mark to agree not to be here for easter) matt and jakey are a little bigger and not so distressed about it but kait is just so sad that mummy and daddy won't be here. she seems ever so fearful that we will have an accident and not be coming home - isn't it funny how their little minds tick over about such things. so lots of cuddles and reassurances over the coming few days.
once she gets nanny and grandad here though, she will be fine. she loves having them visit and nanny is bringing up her knitting needles and they are going to knit a scarf.
alex, matt's best friend and our neighbour, turned 18 yesterday. he was so excited about "the big day". the only down side is that his dad, rob, who sadly passed away 2 years ago wasn't here to take him to the pub for a beer. so mark offered to take him up when he got home last night. instead they bought some beer and bought it back here and had a few while they sat around and talked about all the normal "blokey" things. i love alex as if he was one of my own - he gets fed, yelled at, made to clean up the kitchen after the boys have a marathon cooking session (ALWAYS steak, eggs and chips) and he gets a cuddle when he needs it too.
he really misses his dad - we all do - but i am glad that we could help make his day a little special for him. i really think, dell, his mum, is at a loss sometimes as to how to deal with him and help him over the rough times.
anyways....the morning is racing away.
