this is the smile of freedom on the face of my nine year old daughter.

i pray that in her lifetime she never knows the horrors of war;
that she can always live in peace and she will always know what freedom is;
that she never has to mourn the loss of a loved one killed fighting to maintain that freedom;
that she may always be blessed with a life filled with love, freedom and happiness and not one of fear, persecution and sadness.
thank you to those men and women who fought so that she may know a life filled with freedom and peace.
thank you to those the men and women who paid the ultimate price for my daughter's freedom

Lest we forget. Absolutely. A sobering day. Every year I get goosebumps and mourn those lost lives.
