i am a little lost at the moment....i have some fairly heavy stuff happening to and around me and i am just not coping at all with it.
and everything is suffering - mark, the kids, the house (resembles downtown baghdad at the moment), my scrapping, my health and ....well...i guess, just everything.
but i will get through it and with the help of dear friends like the gorgeous marie, who lifts me up when i am feeling so low - this to, will pass.
matt starts his first night at work tonight...in fact i just made his "lunch" and he is about to head out the door. he hasn't had much sleep to be doing a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift but i guess he will learn that he needs to sleep before he goes off to work. i just hope he drives carefully to and from work - it is cold and dark and VERY foggy.
my good friend, the gorgeous karen ridgeway, is now holding online classes.

i have signed up and despite being very nervous about it all - i have never done an online class before but karen assures me i will be "safe" in her VERY capable hands. i am really looking forward to it and can't wait to learn a few of her secrets to scrapping in her unique and gorgeous style.
despite feeling BLAH about my scrapping the past few days i have managed to scrap a few los. i am on a challenge to scrap 20 los before i go shopping again - i might have snuck a few pieces of bazzill in today though.

i can't share all the los but here is one that i am happy with - i think....!!!
I just can't find "my style" and it is driving me insane. i look at what others have done and try and copy it. i don't know whether it is because i have so much old stuff in my stash that my los look old and stale; or whether i just don't have the knack or what the bloody hell it is.
and it is driving me insane.
(and NO.....this is not a fishing expedition for compliments....!!!)
i will happen on it one day and this will all be a bit of a giggle....but for now it is sending me

and now dear readers, if you are still awake, i hope that you all have a happy day tomorrow.
i have to work but that's ok...i like the people i work with and the boss is a bit of a spunk too

Now, I know that you weren't fishing for compliments but that is one hell of a gorgeous lo. "Style" - pppfffhhhttt! - what's that. I think it's best not to be bogged down in one particular style. Style is what you feel comfortable doing - similar to what kind of clothes you were. Some might were punk, some funk, some classic, some grunge - it's all style and to quote Maxine Hazebroeke - "it's just a matter of taste". So what you like should become your 'style'. btw, I recognize your los quickly, so I guess you do have a style. You just haven't noticed it. It's really what fits - like a comfortable old shoe.
BTW, that gal you mentioned at the end of your blog does indeed have a way with words and is soooooo in love!!!!!!!........and a pretty good scrapper and good sort!!!
oops, just saw the glaringly obvious spelling mistake. That should read "...clothes you wear".
Hey Shazz, sorry I haven't been around here for a *while* (to say the least!) sorry to hear you're having hard times. Blah days. But your scrapping is great darl. Look at all the colour! I too find it really hard to know what my style is, in fact I don't have one anymore - need to refind myself.
Oh, and Eli doesn't fit into the suit just yet, but give him a month and he should. I'll take a piccie when he does ok.

You do have a style, gorgeous. It's just that it's you and so you don't see it. Its in the papers that you choose. Its in the way you place things on the page. Its even on what you choose to "lift"/find inspiration from. Just do what feels right and it will be right. KWIM?

Shazz I'm hoping you are feeling a little better now and continue to. Style?!?!? don't worry about it too much, be more happy to experiment and try many new and woonderful thing. Be open and less critical, the layout you have shared is bright and beautiful.

Hi Shazz, this layout is cool! Great stuff and doing 20 layouts before buying any more scrapping products is a really good goal! I like that idea! I'm doing Karen's class on Thursday, can't wait! Yes, Miss Marie is a gem and Kathie certainly does have a way with words!

Hey Shazz don't stress about your "style" I think you should just scrap what you LIKE! :) I have 2 gorgeous boys and a darling girl so my LOs can be anything from super girly to very masculine, and you know, that's ok!
Can't wait to see you and more lovely LOs like this fabulous one when you come to SWIG, not long now!!
