i feel a bit funny wishing myself a happy birthday but as i type this, with only 28 minutes of my birthday left.......
i have now officially turned 42.
i have now officially turned 42.
i was born at 11.32 p.m. at murwillumbah hospital, in northern nsw.
i was the first child of bill and lyn hunter
i was the first grandchild of viv and pearl hunter
i was the first grand daughter of len and dot bell
i was the future older sister of rod, jo, brett and lousie.
it has been a good day.
i truly am happy and blessed that i have such a wonderful family and such gorgeous friends around me.
i loved all the extra kisses and cuddles i got from mark and matty and jakey and kait. i loved the fact that even though mark had a meeting and i had to cook dinner for us all that they all got in and cleaned up for me while i took some phonecalls from friends, without a word of complaint.
(makes a nice change from the usual domestic blindness that sets in once they have eaten or the world wars when i put them all in the kitchen together)
so very thankful for all my wonderful friends who rang to wish me a happy birthday or messaged me (10 msgs on my phone when i turned it back on after leaving the hospital)
equally thankful for all the emails and birthday wishes on the tca site
amazed and so excited to receive not only a phonecall but a beautifully sung rendition of "happy birthday" from the gorgeous and fabulous miss marie - thanks so much my friend.
i am so thankful for my gorgeous friend janelle who, despite suffering such overwhelming grief in her own life, has always encouraged me to share my problems and fears with her despite my hesitation because i didn't want to burden her already heavy heart.
not to mention the stunning flowers her and kel sent - a gorgeous arrangement of natives - this woman even knows my favourite flowers.
i am still blown away by witnessing the birth of my nephew kye on monday night. my sister jo and i have become closer since his birth and it has been so nice after so many years of wondering where we stand with each other. don't know if it will last but i am enjoying the closeness while it is there.
and as my special day draws to a close i want to share some more pics of my nephew kye.
just can't get enough of this little guy at the moment.
a proud jarrod meeting his new baby brother for the first time - and the very first question he asked.....????
"did his teeth all fall out mummy cause he didn't brush them...???"
kait is so smitten with this little guy and loves nursing him
(gave the dirty nappy change a wide berth though - lol)
time for a feed mummy - although this little fella does love to suck his thumb.
**note - his hair is a lot lighter now he has had all that yucky gunk washed out.
thanks for indulging this very proud aunty
have a great tomorrow
